We have created an alternative to the traditional agency model, a female-founded business offering exclusively senior expert consultancy, with no delegation to junior team members, and no complex agency processes.

We develop communications strategies that deliver against corporate goals and drive positive commercial, societal and environmental change. With combined experience of over 40 years in strategic communications, working across the spectrum of clients from multinational conglomerates to agile start-ups, we understand the power of communications in building hard-working solutions that drive long-lasting reputational and business success. How we do it?

 
  • We love getting to know new clients, understanding your business, your plans and getting to the heart of the challenges you face.

  • We dig deep to explore perceptions of the business as a whole or the specific area you’re seeking to improve – what do your people currently think and feel? How is this reflected amongst external stakeholders? How does this map against the wider category or sector? How is the external landscape impacting your challenges/ plans?

  • We’ll play back the insights gathered from the exploration phase and will use these to develop a carefully targeted strategy to address your specific challenges. We’re passionate about identifying how and where communications can deliver the greatest impact.

  • Let’s go! We’ll develop core materials and tools to successfully land our strategy and deliver real, lasting change for your business, creating compelling narratives that motivate action; messaging tailored to individual stakeholder audiences; and ongoing communications to embed change. And of course, we’ll put metrics in place to measure impact along the way.

Who we are.


  • Founder & Senior Consultant

    I’ve worked in corporate communications for over 20 years and I specialise in purpose communications, employee engagement and sustainability. I love nothing more than getting to the heart of communications challenges, understanding what makes organisations tick and focusing on how people and purpose can become the driving force of business growth. I’ve worked with clients in sectors ranging from healthcare to FMCG, engineering to technology.

    I’m passionate about understanding what employees think, feel and do and the impact their pride, commitment and energy has on business success. This has featured prominently in the work I’ve done recently where I led programmes aimed at shining a light on equality, diversity and inclusivity and highlighting the impact communications can have in driving real cultural change. And I’m a big believer in the power of purpose, having worked with organisations such as ManpowerGroup, Weetabix, Reckitt Benckiser and Unilever on programmes aimed at delivering business impact, as well as positive societal and environmental impact.

    My interest in people and culture goes beyond my professional life into my personal life. Having worked in Spain as a student, I love finding any excuse to immerse myself in Spanish culture, spending time in Spain with friends and family whenever possible and getting some much-needed language practice in. And I’m proud of my Scottish roots, as happy introducing the ‘delights’ of Burns Night to unsuspecting guests, as I am teaching my kids the lyrics to my all-time favourite Scottish songs.

    My career in strategic communications has taken me from financial services to toothpaste, breakfast cereal, healthcare and back again. I’ve taught dental professionals about the power of purposeful PR in the Philippines, created a corporate communications function from scratch, and written countless speeches, presentations and blog posts that establish and deepen reputation with key stakeholders and industry. I’ve worked with a broad range of organisations including FMCG giants like Unilever and Cereal Partners Worldwide, multinational workforce solutions firm ManpowerGroup and workforce health services start-up Lime Global. My focus has been purposeful corporate communications, starting with strategy through to content creation and, in particular, thought leadership and partnerships.

    It may sound like a cliché, but the best thing about this job is the people. Getting to know and work closely with a new client, getting under the skin of their business and working out how communications strategy can help them flourish is, genuinely, my idea of a good time.

    In my youth I did fair bit of globe-trotting; as a would-be social anthropologist, I once spent time living with a hill tribe in Northern Thailand and I’ve had the pleasure of living in Brussels, New York and London. I love the way travel gives you a window into other people’s worlds, that’s probably why I also love learning languages (badly) and reading novels (thankfully fluently). These days I can be found living in leafy Buckinghamshire in the Chiltern hills with my husband and three children.
